Hi, I’m Nadine. Welcome to East &.
THE BACK STORY
When I graduated from college in California, I had no plan. I packed up all of my belongings in to the trunk of my Honda Accord (the same one I still drive), and drove from California to Maine.
I later wound up in the mid-atlantic, in a cubicle, where one day out of boredom and despiration for a creative outlet, I started this lifestyle blog. It was previously known as Back East Blonde.
EAST & WHAT?
In an effort to at least have the option to change my haircolor, I set out to rename Back East Blonde. I liked the idea of keeping “east”, as moving back east was such a huge turning point in my life. After trying to figure out what comes next, I realized that really, everything did. It was east and…everything.
I have escaped the cubicle and now work for a childrens hospital, where for some odd (awesome) reason, they let me walk around and talk to people all day. I’m lucky to live in the City of Brotherly Love with my two loves, N and Archie.
CAST OF SUPPORTING CHARACTERS
Fiance and dog co-parent. He does something with mutual funds by day (which I nod my head and pretend to understand). By night he enjoys video games designed for 12 year olds, laughing at bad puns, and being the hugger of our family. Oh, and before you ask, here’s where I answer the question people always ask – What is he? We’re getting married January 30, 2016. Yup, in the middle of winter.
Our dog child. Archie is two years old and is the worst only child you’ve ever met. He’s needy, greedy, clingy, and constantly demands to be the center of attention. He’s the best! You can always check him out on Instagram, where he has his own hashtag, #eastanddog.
