Our life lately has been like speed bumps in a neighborhood with a lot of paranoid Moms. By the time we get over one, we’re hitting the next. What do people without dogs do during times like this? I’m covered in dog hair 100% of the time but my heart is so much better for it.

Since our stuff got stolen and we lost so many of Archie’s puppy pictures, I vowed that I’d make sure to upload plenty of Archie pictures to the blog and to Facebook. This is also a cop-out, as I just can’t find the words today.

Want to help a girl out? I’ve been debating doing a “Reader Questions, Answered” post for some time. Got a question for me? Click here to submit an anonymous question. Don’t be shy.

  • This is what my cat, Sherlock is for me. When I come home from a particularly hard day, it’s such a great feeling to have him curl up with me in bed.

    • GREAT cat name. Archie was almost named Sherlock.

  • We adopted our dog almost 1.5 years ago and he has changed my life so much. I can’t even begin to explain the joy he has brought me.

  • I just read your post about all your stuff getting stolen. That is so horrible! You poor thing! I would have done the same thing and let the guy take my stuff with the car. They should have had some security at the lot that you paid to be in. I bet Archie makes your day a good one just by being the cutie he is:) These pictures of Archie are just adorable:)

    • It was not last Christmas 2012. It feels like forever ago now but I’ve never quite gotten over losing so many photos, especially the ones of Archie. Thank goodness I had a blog and so many photos were on here.

  • I’m so sorry about your things being stolen. That is awful and so stressful. I agree that dogs make everything at least a little bit better. archie is SO freaking cute I can’t even handle it. the one where he’s showing all of his teeth is amazing. my dog is camera shy so every single picture i have of him is blurry.

    • Thank you. It was a while ago (Christmas 2012) but I miss the baby pictures of Archie that we lost. Archie has had a camera shoved in his face constantly since the minute we brought him home so I swear, he poses.

  • So sorry about everything has happened. Dogs sure are a huge blessing to have around during times like these!

  • They truly do make your life a million times better.

  • He is too cute! Dogs are the best!

Not sure how I missed the post of when your stuff got stolen after Christmas but that sure does suck the big one!
Someone walked into my apartment while my roommate was home alone in college & basically ransacked my room. He[obviously had to be male to go stealing from 2 females living alone in college] flipped my bed[a queen sized blowup camping bed, I was a broke college student 1st place living out of the dorm], got my laptop, printer which was later returned but unusable since it had been dropped and found in the parking lot and he also got my book bag with my binders & all my class work from the semester of any class I had on Friday cause all my stuff was still in my bag. The stolen computer & broken printer sucked A LOT but all the stuff gone from my bag stayed with me for the rest of the semester- it was my final year and I needed papers & projects from what was now gone to complete a final assignment for my degree! Luckily, I was able to piece enough of it back together to hand in completed & passable work in the end. Even though it was my fault for not locking the door when I left since someone was home I don’t think I have ever felt so violated and stupid for letting that happen to myself, my roommate & our home.I’ll tell ya what though, I’ve never left a door unlocked again since then- even if someone is home- it’s just not safe! Learn from my error- keep your doors locked at all times! We contacted local pawnshops & any where else we could think of that someone would take an item of value to trade for money to see if my laptop had been pawned or whatever for money but eventually just gave it up as a lost cause; luckily my fiance was deployed & I had had his laptop in my closet so I was able to use that for the rest of the semester to complete my classes.
Long story/comment short, I’m sorry to hear about the theft of your stuff from your car & right after Christmas makes it all that much worse! Hopefully, bringing this up again & having more new comments doesn’t reopen any wound that has been healing since Christmas- we’ll just all hope and pray that karma works it’s magic on the thief and hopefully they now know what an awful not nice thing they’ve done and that they’ve visited your blog and maybe even read what you used your computer for and they’ll stop their thieving illegal ways of life!
Hope you have a good, relaxing & drama free weekend!

    • Wow. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I think it would have been worse if I had lost things like school work and stuff (back in the day).

Our stuff got stolen two Christmases ago so it’s been a while now and I think we are over it. I just wish I hadn’t lost so many pictures of Archie!

That being said, I hope you have renters insurance. We did (and still do). It costs about $13 a month for us and when our stuff got stolen from our CAR it was still covered. We got a big check for everything we had lost. Now I tell everyone I can to get renters insurance. It saved us!

  • Asking questions are in fact nice thing if you are not understanding something totally, however this piece
of writing offers pleasant understanding even.

  • Such a pretty dog! I hope things get better for you!

  • Dogs mean so much in our lifes and the little things they do can make us feel a lot better! They really are such good friends. Really sorry to hear about things being stolen from your home.. This blog is lovely and has made me think about saving my dog’s photo’s to the internet aswell 🙂
