The Jet-setter Version of Me

The new version of Nadine is someone I barely recognize these days. Last weekend I flew out to California for the weekend for a wedding and a bachelorette party (Kaylin’s Round 2 – Round 1 here). I have the remnants of a black eye and I still can’t quite catch up on sleep but I’m feeling really good. Happy. Young.

Life Lately

I arrived home Sunday evening, just in time to grab (a woozy, airplane meds induced) dinner with friends in Philly, check out a potential apartment (I want it! I want it so bad! Look at that kitchen!) and crash before 9:30pm.

I’d debated if I had the stamina to make it to California for a mere 48 hours and then fly back (with how much flying scares me and how much recovery time I need for my meds to wear off after a flight). But honestly, I nailed it.

Lace Kimono - Going Out

This lace Kimono c/o In Bloom Boutique was perfect  to throw over my ridiculously tight “clubbing” outfit. It looks great with yoga pants too!

And with that, I’ll be back in California in three weeks for another wedding. I’m just all over the place. This week we’ve been back and forth to the city nearly every night, checking out potential places. My new job is going amazingly well but it keeps me busy (and fulfilled) so I show up here less often than I’d like.

I wanted to be busy. I wanted an un-boring life. And that’s what I got. So this new city-hopping, kills it on the wedding reception dance floor, watches less TV, goes places, does things version of me, she can stick around.

  • I’m excited for you! That kitchen is to DIE for! Question for you, though. I’m sure you’ve answered this before, but what do you take for your airplane issues? They put me on an anti-anxiety med, but it wasn’t strong enough. I don’t have anywhere to fly in the near future, but I hope to sometime next year!

  • I’m happy that you’re enjoying this new adventure in life! & I’m pretty jealous of that kitchen – wow! My apartment kitchen has like half of that cabinet space. I cannot wait to move!

  • this is great and good for you because you survived! as a fellow anxious-travel-turned-someone-who-travels-more-recently, i think we need to celebrate when we make through a trip.

  • I know the feeling 🙂 This year, I’ve literally been on a plane more than I’ve been at home. I get homesick at times, but I know this is something that I’ll only get to enjoy fully while I’m young 🙂 Happy to hear that you’re in such a good state right now!

  • Oh how fun! Sounds like you had a great time! I’m glad your new job is going well; sometimes you just have to make time for the bigger priorities in life. It seems to me that you are posting on here many-a-times a week, still, so no worries, Nadine 🙂 Also, I have now fallen in love with that apartment too, but don’t worry I won’t come steal it from you! 😉 I am a college student.. that’s all that needs said.. baha! No $.

  • I’m glad you’re having a great time! California is always a good idea.

  • Oooo, love the black kimono/jacket! I’ve been debating getting one of those all summer and now it’s too late and getting cold. 🙁 Also: you mention a black eye but don’t post a photo of it?!?! OR how you got it? Not fair. 😀 Ain’t official without a photo.

  • I’m so jealous of your jetsetter lifestyle. I love travelling and that’s definitely one way to keep life un-boring! Can’t wait to hear more about your move to Philly, you’re going to love it!

  • You sound, well ALIVE. Like you’re truly living the life you want. Hooray for having an ‘unboring’ life!
