My Favorite Line of Television Ever

Best Girls Quote

I have never quoted a line of television as much as I quote this one. I use it on almost a daily basis, usually in reference to whatever the dog is doing – “He is busy, trying to become who he is.” I find it so hilariously truthful as a statement about the early twenties and every time I so much as think it, I chuckle a little. Girls has a ton of great lines, but this one is by far my favorite.

I’d love to know, what’s your favorite line of television?

YOU MIGHT LIKE:
  • LOL I’m sad to say I couldn’t get through the first season of Girls. I’m sorry!!!! But that is a pretty awesome line.

  • My favorite TV line has to be from Mindy Kaling’s character from The Office, Kelly Kapoor: “Fashion show! Fashion show! Fashion show at lunch!” (I use it ALL THE TIME.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRjenLqGqm0

  • I don’t know if you watched “True Blood” but Lafayette was my favorite character. Any time I have to call one of my friends, I always say “ring ring hooker ring ring!” 😛

  • ha! Love it! 🙂 My husband and I love to quote the line from New Girl where she’s being all grouchy and whines, “DON’T TOUCH ME, my SKIN hurts!” whenever either one of us is being moody. :p

  • My favorite line ever?

“I’m looking for love. Real love. Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can’t-live-without-each-other love.’ – Carrie Bradshaw

  • “WE WERE ON A BREAK!”

      yes!! a classic.

  • i love that line from girls!! I quote it too and I once dedicated an entire blog post to ththe best girls quotes.

  • LOVE Girls! That’s a great quote. I have sooo many that I love, but I think my favorite is from Parks & Recreation, when Ben & Leslie are getting married and a Leslie says ” I love you and I like you.” Super cheesy, but adorable.

  • “I want to go to there.” – Liz Lemon on 30Rock. Not sure if it’s a great one quote, but I say it all the time.

  • Tiffany

Man I watch a lot of TV shows so quoting is somewhat of a reoccurring trend. From Girls, the line Hannah says to her parents in the first episode, “I could be a drug addict. Do you know how lucky you are?”. Also the Mindy Project, “I’m a little disappointed with this conversation”.
