Confessional Friday

I’m linking up with Leslie from A Blonde Ambition for Confessional Friday.
This is one of my very favorite link ups because well, I get to be way too honest.

This week, I confess…

The fact that we got a new pope warranted this reaction from me:
Oh. Huh.
That’s about it on that.
Congrats to all you Catholics.

Ironic that I’m writing a confessional, isn’t it? Moving right along…

Sometimes I feel guilty that I didn’t rescue a dog. We bought Archie (from a responsible breeder folks, not a puppy mill). And man, was he expensive. But I knew what I wanted! And I wanted a Golden Retriever. Still, I hate when people make me feel guilty about it. I like to think that providing so many adorable photos of him is kind of like a public service, right? Just go with it.

As I write this post I’m eating leftover pizza for breakfast. Is that a confession or is it just perfectly normal? You decide.

If you were lucky enough to talk to me in person yesterday, you would have been blown away by my spot on impression of a teenage boy. My voice went buh-bye and left me with a cracking voice and a gnarly cough. Yeah, I just said gnarly.

I love sneaker wedges when I see them on other people. But I’m not cool enough to wear them. I’m really not.

Target

I’m going to miss the fact that GFC was a thing. And I’m still not convinced that it’s going away for good. It seems like at some point Google will use this as a ploy to get us to try to get us to fall in love with Google Plus. Not gonna happen, folks.

This post about a broken engagement by Whitney over at I Wore Yoga Pants kind of made me nervous to ever bring up getting engaged to the beau again. I don’t want to pressure him and I only say things in a joking way, but still, what’s the rush? There isn’t one. I’m going to knock it off now.

I’d love it if you would head over here and add your bloglovin’ link!

Happy Friday, everyone!

YOU MIGHT LIKE:
  • Archie is adorable, and i think the only thing that matters is he is in a loving home and not on the streets:)

  • I was raised Catholic, but it was always more out of tradition. The older I get and the more I experience and learn (human suffering, government, politics, American entitlement, etc.), the more I step back and try to wrap my head around what religion/faith/spirituality MEANS and why “faithful” people do the things they do. All that just to say that I laughed so hard after reading your congratulatory message above. 🙂

  • Archie is super cute, and I don’t think that it matters that you bought him from a respected breeder. I agree with Megan ^ the only thing that matters is that he is in a loving home and not on the streets.
I’m about to have leftover pizza for breakfast too!

  • If I had a dollar for every time someone gave me crap about buying a dog… here is what I say. Who gives a F. It is your decision and to each their own. Plus Goldens are just the. best. dogs. ever.

  • Bahaha, I am soooo with you. In fact, I thought the very same thing.
Dear google, we are not buyting in to your google plus ways.

  • I rescued two dogs. I just don’t see the point in people making you feel guilty, because you already have the dog, you know?

Your dog is beautiful! I love all dogs. I just can’t help, but want to cuddle them all 🙂

  • I’m having a mental affair with your dog! We have one from a breeder and one from a rescue…don’t regret either of them! If they have good homes that is all that matters!!!

One last thing…rock the sneaker wedges!

  • I didn’t rescue my dogs either and I hate when people make me feel guilty, too. I’m actually allergic to dogs so I had to get one toy poodle and one bichon mix. Don’t feel bad 🙂

  • Your dog is so cute! I love goldens too 🙂 I’m totally against animal cruelty, and the fact that there are so many animals in shelters is sad, but you do what you want! You knew what you wanted, you went to a responsible breeder, and that’s that. Mine wasn’t a rescue from a shelter, but he was a rescue of sorts. He could have ended up there. And he’s a mutt. But if I’d had the money, I’d have bought the aussie I wanted! Btw, new follower here from the Bloglovin’ blog hop! 🙂
