7 Things You Won’t Admit To (But I Will)

Dress: Marshalls, Shirt: Old Navy, Belt: Franchesca’s, Sandals: Target

1. When you’re laying in bed at night checking your phone, sometimes you drop it on your face.

2. The number of magazines, books, and other reading materials on the back of your toilet tank.

3. The number of months that pass before you change your calendar to the proper month. For instance, mine is currently on March.

4. How messy your car actually is. I have a banana peel in mine from last week. And at least a dozen water bottles. Beat that (ew, I know).

5. How many hours you spent attempting to learn Anna Kendrick’s “The Cup Song.” Ask me how good I am. [really effing excellent]

6. That your dog has behavior problems. Archie’s a jumper. I would say we’re working on it but if being dog parents taught us one thing it’s that neither of us is the disciplinarian. Ruh roh.

7. When I got to number 7, I asked N what other weird things I do that I should add. He started listing too many things and I started pondering my own sanity.

Now it is my pleasure to introduce you to Lisa from Two Martinis! Let’s just put this out there: I’m really glad I’m not the only blogger whose love story involved more alcohol than romance. Lisa’s is hilariously funny. She also isn’t afraid to share the most embarrassing search terms I’ve ever read. Crochless Underwear included. There, I said it. Now I’ll have horrible search terms too.

Are you married or pondering marriage? Check out this rock star post called the ABC’s of Marriage. And while you’re at it, check out her marriage confessions. It’s a post that cannot be missed!

So go check out Two Martinis or tweet at Lisa and tell her your most embarrassing search term (if you can beat hers!).

  • I have most definitely dropped my phone on my face. And I know letting dogs jump is bad behavior, but I love to snuggle so I totally let them get away with it.

  • stop it, def dropped my phone on my face so hard it gave me a fat lip. the boyfriend laughed and laughed and is still probs laughing at me for it.

  • Haha, I do number one almost every night! You would think by now I would’ve learned it’s probably not a good idea to decide to scroll through an entire day’s insta + twitter feed right before bed, but somehow I’ve never learned. And probably never will!

  • I love this list! Pretty much all of them ring true for me too. Minus the toilet one… I just bring my kindle or computer hahah

  • Always doing # 1 – I should probably sit up while going through my phone at night. OH and the calendar thing – definitely still on February….

We also have a water bottle collection in the back seat of our car! haha Nadine, you crack me up. Happy Wednesday!

  • I’m dying over the phone thing!!! HAHA I do that all the time 🙂

  • Ok I don’t have a banana peel, but I have two Tervis’s that once held coffee… gross. And I have drive-thru receipts ALL in my passenger floorboard. And a target bag with some stuff I purchased about a month ago just hanging out. And don’t get me started on the backseat…

  • I always drop my phone on my face! lol too funny!

    xxS

  • My car is a wreck – I’m pretty sure I have old food somewhere in my car too.
    This is hilariously true.

  • I drop my phone on my face a lot. And my car is awful!

  • I’ll admit to the fact that the empty water bottles in my car could buy me a pack of gum…. if NJ did bottle deposit.

  • I can totally relate to #4! I always think, it wouldn’t be that hard to throw away the water bottle in the back of my car… it’s more that I forget about it, and it’s not a priority! It’s always fun to find out that other people do the same weird things that I do. 🙂

  • omg at number 1! that has happened so many times! and my car, lord have mercy on it…i got Chick-fil-a cups and other crap in it. My husband looks at my car and just shakes his head, lol.

  • I laughed out loud at the very first one. Truth. What a fun idea for a post. I very much enjoyed it.

  • I always wonder if people judge us after going into our bathroom. We have books, magazines, old newspaper comics…and sometimes an ipad (from my relaxing baths of course).

  • Hahaha… The cup song is my favy right now, but I never attempted to do it…yet 😉 And we have a jumper as well.. does the knee in the chest actually work? I don’t wanna hurt my knee haha… and my car…. that’s a whole other post 🙂

  • Perfection, yes to all of this. Although my car is for sure dirtier than yours.

  • I’m the queen of dropping my phone on my face and my car…ew it’s embarrassing! As for my dog she is absoloutely perfect and never jumps up on guests or gets into the garbage or pulls flour down from the kitchen counter and scatters it throughout my apartment…never.
    xxoo,

  • Hey Nadine! My car is spotless. I’ll come clean yours. I don’t know why but I can’t have crap and trash in my car. I guess I don’t want any other riders to think I’m dirty and a hoarder 🙂 Haha! Go spend an hour with the trash bag and do some purging…it will make you feel really good and it will open doors. Even with cleaning, when you rid yourself of stuff, you are allowing NEW things to come into your life.

  • 1. Sometimes? Try 3 times a night. Every night. I had to get a softer case because I almost chipped a tooth.

    2. We have a bathroom magazine rack for that….

    3. Ours is a dry erase calendar on our fridge. It currently still has a tally of fireworks we saw last summer.

    4. A shamrock shake that TIPPED OVER and got moldy and it was already green so double ew. That happened in March.

    5. My niece learned it in one hour. I don’t want to be shown up by an 11 year old.

    6. McCoy was a jumper until about age 1. After that he got way better and at 1.5 he’s has a slip up about once a month. And that was with minimal training. Booyah.

    7. I am going to ask Dave this tonight and see what he comes up with because I guess I’m a sadist.

  • I drop my phone on my face all the time!xx

  • I take a bus to work so my commuting bag is an embarrassing mess of what is probably found in your car!

  • Lisa is one of my favorite people! She’s my Bigs and Littles lady (even though it’s over) and we talk ALL the time about blogging and life!

  • I have dropped my phone on my face more times than I can count. So many that I now lay on my side so it can’t happen. Can I borrow this idea?

  • My dog is a jumper, too. Truthfully, though, it’s kind of cute and affectionate so we never really made her stop.

  • Hahahaha! I love your list. I can only imagine what my husband would say about me if I asked him to list weird things I do. I’d better not ask 😉

Thanks for the kind words! And I totally hope someone finds your blog by looking for crotchless underwear.

  • haha love this! my dog is a yapper and I hate it… but she’s just so darn cute! 🙂

  • Haha I am so glad I am not the only person that drops their phone on their face! You look so cute in this outfit! I am so glad I stumbled across your blog. I am a new follower!

  • OH the cup song haha. And not to be sexist, but what is it with girls and messy cars? Mine is disgusting. I have a half eaten donut on my floor. Whoops.

  • I have dropped my phone on my face a few times, and it scares the heck out of me each time. I also have a pretty messy car, BUT it is currently clean! Only because me and a few friends were going on a little road trip and were taking my car.. ha ha!

  • As a former camp counselor I’ve had that cups thing down since ’03. Can’t lie though, totally got excited when it came on in the movie!

  • My phone loves to attack me all the time. And me and the other girls I worked with in Cali spent wayyy too much time learning (attempting) The Cup Song.

  • Oh man! I definitely have done number 1. As for number 3, my calender is still on last year. I can gladly say that my car is not that bad at all because my boyfriend and grandpa are obsessed with keeping cars clean.

  • My 9 year old is obsessed with the cup song… too funny! And I probably have you beat on the messy car… I clean it multiple times a week and it still ends up messy!

  • Seriously, I sing that song in my car allll the time. ALONE, of course, because then I can pretend I know the whole thing. 🙂

  • stop it, #1 & #6 are so ME! haha, you crack me up lady!

  • shoot, it looks like a convenience store in my car with the amount of water bottles i have. glad to know i’m not the only one.

  • My calendar never makes it past February!

  • Literally laughed out loud at the dropping your phone on your face one. It’s happened to me and I was ashamed. Glad to know I’m not alone.

  • I’m loving your maxi – the fit is amazing! 🙂 And must I say that your flats are beyond gorgeous!!

Visiting from WIWW> If you have a sec, I would love to hear your thoughts on my latest: http://fashchronicles.blogspot.com

  • HAHA I drop my phone on my face all the time–and I’ve learned (for the most part) the cups song. Pretty damn proud, too!

  • Oh my word I do so many of these things haha and I’m so glad my dog is not the only weirdo my dog jumps like a rabbit all day everyday hahah.

  • Seriously we might be twins in some weird way. I drop my phone on my face all the time, and I am ashamed to admit I have dropped my nook on my face also. My dogs are little psychos, and I love the Cup song. Thanks for an adorable post and the laugh!

  • I’m weird about my calendar and have to keep it up-to-date…OCD/ control freak over here!! But I am proud to say my car only has some clouting, my box of teacher stuff I brought home, some games (Taboo, Cards Against Humanity) that haven’t been unloaded from a Game Night in Feb and some open house flyers….i semi cleaned it out. I don;t drop my phone, but my Nook Color e-reader….it hurts!! hahaha

  • My dog is such a terrible jumper! Part of me says “Yeah Allegra! Let’s enter you in a competition!” and the more sane part says “hm. this is an issue we should fix”.
    Guess which part keeps winning.

  • Yep. pretty much all true. HAHA, thank you 🙂

  • Didn’t I say you’d master the Cups song? Yup, I did. See, I KNEW it!! You’re welcome :)! Now we’ll have to play it together someday woot woot! I’m so proud hehe..

  • umm what is the cup song?! Like a previous commenter, I use to play the cup game at camp. We would sit a big circle an pass the cups around to each other on the final step.

  • LOL! I too recently found a banana peel in my car….so gross! Love the look!

  • #3 is me more than I’d like to admit. Which just made me realize, what is the point of having a calendar if you don’t use it? Oh well, the pictures are usually very pretty.

  • Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability
and visual appearance. I must say you’ve done a superb job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads super fast for me on Internet explorer.
    Outstanding Blog!

  • I like the helpful information you provide in your articles.
I’ll bookmark yyour weblog and chrck again here frequently.
I am quite sure I’ll learn many new stuff right here!
    Good luck for the next!

  • One of the questions we frequently get asked is why not just use Skype.
If needed, click on it twice to display the most memory-hungry processes on top Make sure
that you click on “Display processes from all users” to get the whole picture Make a not of
the name of the process that is eating up your memory. First of all, you need to understand that if your computer is really low
on RAM to run certain programs, then you will constantly be having issues and
    freeze-ups.

  • I think the admin of this website is really working hard for his site, as here
every stuff is quality based material.

  • Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your weblog and wished to say that I’ve
really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. After all I will
be subscribing in your rss feed and I’m hoping you write again soon!

  • What’s up, after reading this awesome post i am as well glad to share my knowledge
    here with friends.

  • I don’t know whether it’s just me or if everybody else encountering issues with your blog.
It appears as if some of the text on your posts are running off the
screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let
me know if this is happening to them too? This
could be a problem with my browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
    Thank you
